Slight Production Delay and Survey Smoke Test

All,
We wanted to provide a quick update with a bit of unfortunate news. We have had a delay with our dice manufacturer that will set production back by about ten days (our primary printer is working with another company to produce the dice). So, it looks like production is set to begin around the 8th or 9th of April. Thus, at this stage, it is likely that we will be slipping into June and July for delivery unless shipping or production comes in on the low end of current estimates. We will continue to keep everyone informed as we learn more.
Now for the good news: We have also officially launched the Backerkit surveys, and many should be receiving the smoke test in the coming day. After that, the remaining 95% of you will receive the final survey sometime at the end of this week or this weekend.

Manufacturing and Delivery Update

All,
We are excited to announce that we have finalized everything with the manufacturer. We are just waiting on the designer on their end to send us the final review for approval, and manufacturing will begin! Current estimates are about 30 days for the game to be manufactured and about 30-60 days for delivery here in the United States.
If you do the math, you can see that we have a good chance of hitting our May fulfillment goal, but we may end up being 30-60 days behind if shipping is on the high end of the estimate or if we hit unforeseen delays. We remain hopeful that the games arrive quickly and there are no hiccups, but we wanted to prepare you for the chance of a slight delay. Despite this, we are proud that Midwinter Mages’ first Kickstarter game will deliver well ahead of the average first release on KS.
We are now finalizing the surveys, and they will go out in the coming days as we complete the final shipping setup. Please note that we are using a system based on zones, and we are happy to report that shipping should be in line with the campaign estimates.

Update and Projected Delivery

All,
We just wanted to provide a brief update on the manufacturing and delivery of Paragon. We have finalized the digital proofs, and we anticipate having the physical proof in our hands sometime soon. Once we have that proof and completed any last revisions, we will have the games ready to print, and we will make surveys available.
This step should take roughly 7-14 days, and once it is complete, the printing will take about four weeks (the most significant time constraint, as many of you know, is the dice and token production). We anticipate shipping to take 4-6 weeks from China. Thus, we are on course now for shipping to begin sometime between late April (optimistic) and mid-May. Of course, manufacturing and shipping delays are not uncommon, but we remain confident that we will deliver a top-quality game on time! Our shipper and manufacturer are experienced and communicative, and we feel good about their estimates.

Manufacturing and Shipping Update

All,
Thank you for the patience over the last bit. We wanted to give you a bit of an update and let you know where we stand with manufacturing and shipping.
Last week we completed a round of work with the manufacturer. We have digital proofs set to arrive this week, with a physical proof copy arriving shortly thereafter (we have a new advance copy with the stretch goals). Once we have final approvals in place, we will begin manufacturing in earnest. Current estimates are on pace to meet our May delivery date.
We have delayed sending the surveys out until we have had a chance to get the final box and weights to keep this accurate and keep the costs down on shipping as much as possible. We'll provide further updates on surveys and shipping as the proofing and copies arrive.
Thanks again for the support and patience as we work to get Paragon in your hands. We can promise you this: we are cutting no corners and putting top-quality components in this game. We truly believe everyone will be pleased with the quality of the components and the play of Paragon. We can't wait until we ship them out!
Survey Updates

All,
We just wanted to send a quick update and let you know that the survey should be coming your way in the next 7 to 10 days as we have received the final backer report and are working with the shipper to build out the final costs in our Backerkit survey. We are on track to have the games in hand late first quarter per the manufacturer's last estimates, but we will provide a more certain ETA once we have final confirmation.
